A 10x10 inch (approx. 25x25 cm) canvas board is a square art surface typically made of 100% cotton canvas mounted onto a rigid backing like MDF or hardboard. This design provides a firm, warp-resistant surface that does not require stretching like traditional canvases, making it ideal for beginners, students, and professional artists alike.
Core Material & Build
Canvas Fabric: Most boards use 100% natural cotton canvas with a medium-grain texture, which provides an ideal balance between paint hold and smooth brush glide.
Rigid Backing: The canvas is glued to a sturdy board, often 4mm thick MDF or high-density fiberboard (HDF), to prevent bending or sagging even under heavy paint application.
